History

Mvurachena School was founded in 1986 to serve the farming community in the Chipinge area, providing quality education in a close-knit, supportive environment. As the farming community has shifted over the years, Mvurachena has evolved to embrace families from a wide range of backgrounds, while maintaining its strong ties to the Dutch Reformed Church, which has been a cornerstone of the school’s values and traditions.
Our name, “Mvurachena,” meaning “clear water,” symbolizes the purity of our mission and the transformative impact of education. Today, as a proud member of the Association of Trust Schools (ATS), we continue to build on our legacy of excellence, offering an inclusive and holistic education that prepares future generations for success in a rapidly changing world.
